Ofsted Inspection Outcome
Strong for Curriculum & Teaching and for Inclusion
Following our Ofsted inspection in December 2025, Accountancy Learning was recognised as meeting a Strong standard in Curriculum & Teaching (Apprenticeships) and Inclusion, as part of one of the first inspections carried out under the new framework.
- Curriculum & Teaching
- Inclusion
For employers, this recognition confirms the quality, ambition and effectiveness of the apprenticeship training we deliver and the strength of the support systems surrounding it.
What This Means for Employers
Ofsted’s findings reflect the way we work in partnership with employers to deliver apprenticeship training that is:
Aligned to real-world accounting job roles
Built around recognised industry standards
Structured to support long-term progression
Support with personalised learner guidance
Inspectors noted:
“Leaders provide highly ambitious accountancy apprenticeship curriculums.”
Ambition matters, not just for qualifications, but for building capable, confident finance professionals who add value to your organisation.
Curriculum Designed Around Your Business
A key strength highlighted during inspection was our close collaboration with employers:
“Tutors work very closely with employers to plan curriculums that meet the training needs of their apprentices.”
Learning is not delivered in isolation. Tutors carefully sequence training to reflect the tasks apprentices complete in their job roles, ensuring immediate workplace relevance and practical application.
Inspectors recognised:
“They ensure learning is sequenced expertly to reflect the tasks that apprentices complete in their job roles.”
For employers, this means apprenticeship training supports operational needs, not just qualification requirements.
Expert Tutors with Industry Experience
The quality of teaching was recognised as a strong feature of our apprenticeship provision.
“Tutors are highly effective in using their significant accountancy industry expertise in lessons.”
Our tutors bring real accountancy experience into every session. They provide expert explanations, demonstrations and structured feedback that helps apprentices produce work of a consistently high standard.
This ensures apprentices can confidently apply technical knowledge within your business environment.
High Standards and Strong Outcomes
Professionalism and achievement were also recognised during inspection.
“Leaders set high expectations for the professional standards of their apprentices.”
We expect apprentices to demonstrate reliability, responsibility and professional behaviours, qualities employers rightly expect in the workplace.
Ofsted further noted:
“A high proportion of apprentices who complete their final assessments pass their qualifications.”
In addition:
“Most apprentices remain in employment and many move on to studying accountancy-related training at a higher level.”
This reflects strong retention, progression and long-term workforce development.
Strong Inclusion and Individualised Support
Inclusion was another area recognised as Strong.
“Leaders maintain a strong focus on reducing barriers to learning for their apprentices and learners.”
For employers, this means every apprentice receives appropriate, structured support to succeed, ensuring consistent progress and reducing risk of disengagement.
Inspectors highlighted:
“Leaders ensure that all apprentices and learners receive the targeted support they need to make sustained progress.”
Apprentices benefit from personalised support plans, structured one-to-one guidance, and carefully designed learning resources to help them remain on track and perform effectively in their roles.
Safeguarding and Wellbeing
Ofsted confirmed that safeguarding standards are met and that leaders have established an open culture in which safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Apprentices feel safe, supported and confident raising concerns where necessary. This underpins a stable and secure learning environment.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We are pleased that Ofsted has recognised the strength of our apprenticeship curriculum and inclusive approach. We remain committed to continuously strengthening our provision and working closely with employers to ensure apprenticeship training delivers measurable impact.
