Social Value Statement

We are dedicated to addressing economic inequality and enhancing the skills of our workforce, ensuring equal opportunities for all. Our social value initiatives encompass various measures aimed at promoting economic empowerment and fostering a skilled, diverse workforce.

Actions to be implemented:

Wellbeing

METHOD:

Implement programmes to support the physical and mental wellbeing of our staff, including organising “talking sessions” with HR to discuss both work and personal issues.

Enhance the quality of our workplace environment by providing both our staff and students a calm and well maintained environment. Allowing our people to have the choice of learning and working flexi and remotely wherever possible.

ACTION:

Equal Opportunity

METHOD:

Implement pre-employment programmes, apprenticeships, and training opportunities targeting local communities, those job seeking, career changing or with health concerns. Through our Talent Programme where we offer advice and guidance for those looking to take their first step into a finance career through either apprenticeships or stand alone qualifications.

Ensure diversity and inclusion by committing to ethnic minority representation within organisation.

ACTION:

Tackling Economic Inequality

METHOD:

Pay workers a living wage, offer living hours, and support career progression to tackle in-work poverty.

Provide work opportunities for individuals with disabilities or long-term health conditions, improving their living conditions and access to quality housing.

Support flexible working policies for employees with caring responsibilities, going above statutory requirements.

ACTION:

Increasing Workforce Skills

METHOD:

Design apprenticeships to be an accessible route into further education, offering qualifications alongside work experience to improve career prospects.

Provide regular career advice and progression pathways for apprentices, ensuring their development and advancement within the organization.

Offer additional support for apprentices with learning and mental health difficulties, making reasonable adjustments to accommodate their needs.

ACTION:

Supply Chain Resilience

METHOD:

Demonstrate a track record of providing apprenticeships to learners and employers regionally and nationally, ensuring continuity and reliability in our training programs.

Produce the majority of our materials internally, sourcing externally only from established national providers to ensure quality and reliability.

Employ our staff directly, avoiding subcontracting to third parties and ensuring accountability and control over our workforce.

ACTION:

Equal Opportunity for Workers with Long-Term Health Conditions

METHOD:

Develop specific initiatives to provide opportunities for workers with long-term health conditions, ensuring they have equal access to employment, training, and career progression opportunities.

ACTION:

COVID-19 Recovery Initiatives

METHOD:

Provide support for individuals affected by COVID-19, including those disproportionately impacted such as 16–24-year-olds, over 50s, and people from ethnic minorities.

Protect volunteer hours for staff to support those affected by COVID-19, contributing to community recovery efforts.
