After dropping out of a degree in teaching, I felt a little lost in where I would go next. I explored my options and landed on accountancy after being attracted to the ability to do an apprenticeship alongside work. I joined Westcotts Chartered Accountants as a trainee accounts assistant in September 2023 with no accountancy knowledge, shortly after I began my AAT journey with Accountancy Learning.
I completed Level 2 Certificate in bookkeeping which gave me a solid basis of understanding to continue with my Level 3 studies which I completed in May 2025. I am now working towards my Level 4 and with the help and guidance of all of the tutors, but in particular Rachael, who has been extremely supportive whether I am studying in college or at home– I am sure I will achieve my goals to get to the next step in my journey.
