Star Student February 2023: Thea Rowe

Personal Tutor: Emily

I started my apprenticeship in February of 2022 after working as a bookkeeper for 2 years, I really wanted something on paper showing what I was capable of. Throughout this first year it’s been a rollercoaster but through it, the support from my tutors have been amazing. They never let me give up, kept encouraging me but also allowed me time to have a break when I needed it. I’m finally on target to be finished within the next couple of months and I am so happy to be done with my first year.

Personal Tutor comments:

Thea is a brilliant student, who started with us as a level 2 apprentice student back in February. Thea has worked really hard for all her exams and is now preparing to sit her foundation synoptic exam. Thea has done incredibly well at managing her studies, alongside having a full time job and a toddler.

Thea’s time is often limited, however, Thea is always ready to learn and is focused on her studies, ensuring to use her free time efficiently. Thea also had to deal with her daughter, Mila, contracting strep A and sepsis and ending up very poorly in hospital over the Christmas period; despite all of this, Thea has remained on track with her studies and never lost sight of the end goal.
