Star Student October 2024: Liam Woof

Personal Tutor: Shannon

I started my transition into accounting when I suffered a back injury delivering parcels. When I saw the opportunity to join Saint & Co, I jumped at the opportunity and decided to put myself through level 2 AAT to secure the trainee accountant position.

Since joining I’ve continued my studies with the support of Shannon and my new employer to now be achieving better results in level 3 than I was getting at level 2 by myself. I hope to see how far I can push myself in this new career and what I can achieve.

Personal Tutor comments:

Liam came on board with us in March of this year and I remember joking with him that he had a lot to live up to as he had the same name as my youngest son. Well, it didn’t take too long before he started showing off and had his first exam of Tax completed within a month. From the very start he has had an unwavering determination to succeed, he has now sat all four of his exams and now just awaiting results of the last one of which I am positive he will do very well with. Liam comes across as very gifted and I believe that it’s fair to say that Accounting is a profession that certainly suits him, however my nomination comes from pure admiration for him as he is a very humble individual who works incredibly hard for his grades. Liam invests the time that is needed and does the targeted revision to ensure he achieves. He has submitted every prep test, progress and practice assessment in for feedback and is an overall absolute delight to work with, a STAR student for sure!
