Born and bred in Devon (Exeter), I started my early career working in a variety of admin/finance roles firstly with Exeter City Council then moved to Devon County Council and continued to work in these areas. I soon became involved with NVQs (assessment and verification) and training ,which led me to start working in HR where I stayed for over 20 years gaining training and management qualifications along the way. I have a lot of experience in HR, working with performance development areas and then apprenticeships. I really enjoy working with people and am really passionate about helping them to develop and grow.
Out of work I am married to Mike and have 2 grown up sons who both went to University and now live ‘Up North’. We try to visit as often as we can so many Fridays are spent on the M1 or M6. I love to travel, whether it’s abroad (usually) or here in the UK. I enjoy swimming, live music and socialising with friends, I also support Exeter City FC so lots of football at weekends.
