About Accountancy Learning
Specialising in the delivery of AAT training since 1992, Simon and Prue Deane set up Accountancy Learning on January 1st 2012 (yes, we were working on New Year’s Day!)
Starting out with just 2 members of staff (aside from us), we grew rapidly and as of 2023, we now have a dedicated team of 43.
We are passionate about delivering the best possible service to our AAT students and apprentices and to our employers. This is summed up in our business purpose:
“We want to be a training business that makes a real impact on the lives and careers of our learners and on the businesses of our employers – and in doing so, makes a real impact on the lives and careers of our team, allowing them to fulfil their professional and vocational ambitions.”
We want our students to graduate with top marks and become ‘gold standard’ bookkeepers/accounting technicians, and… to have enjoyed and grown as individuals during their AAT journey with us.
Delivering AAT via distance learning and apprenticeships, we were thrilled to be consistently recognised by the AAT in their annual Training Provider Awards:

Since 2020 and the first lockdown, we have been able to deliver apprenticeships via remote format (supplementing our South West on site delivery). This has allowed us to recruit a really experienced tutor team from around the country who work from home and support their apprentices via Teams, email and phone.
This remote team keeps contact with each other and our South West based team through daily morning catch-ups via Teams.
We’re a friendly, close-knit team and we like to think of ourselves as a ‘rather large family’! We have plenty of fun inside and outside work – please see our team page to read more about us all and do see what we’re all up to on our Facebook page.
