Modern Slavery Statement

Accountancy Learning is too small a business to be required to publish a modern slavery statement but we recognise that this is an important issue and it is part of our ethos to contribute towards the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking so that we are not complicit in any human rights violations.

Accountancy Learning provides education and training services and we aim to make a positive impact on our customers, both our students and their employers. We do this by giving access to online learning materials and by providing remote and face-to-face tutor support.

Our faculty staff are all members of regulated accounting bodies and are required to meet their bodies’ ethical codes and all staff receive training in our own code of conduct. All staff receive initial training in safeguarding and how to recognise signs of abuse and this is supplemented with refresher training during the term of employment. We have a small team and we communicate frequently with each other, sharing any issues that we identify.
Our code of conduct makes clear that we do not tolerate harassment of any form, bullying, abuse or discrimination.

Our downstream supply chain includes employers of apprentices and we conduct an initial and ongoing assessment of apprentices’ safety and risk of abuse.

Our upstream supply chain includes other education and training providers, publishers, and suppliers of IT, HR, accounting, marketing and legal services. We aim to use local SME suppliers as much as possible where we can build up a close relationship and this allows us to assess the risk of human trafficking.
