Robert Law

AAT Tutor

I qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1985 and worked my way up to Senior Manager/Director. In 1996 I moved to the Canopius Group – an international insurance group operating mainly in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, with offices also in the USA, Switzerland, Singapore and Bermuda.  Subsequent to a three-year stint working as a CFO in Bermuda, I decided on a total career change so in 2016 I took up an AAT lecturer post at Wiltshire College, Trowbridge, where I taught all three levels of the AAT qualification. In January 2018 I moved to Devon and joined the Accountancy Learning team.

In my spare time, I enjoy model shipbuilding, walking and reading. Having just become a grandfather, I will also enjoy teaching my grandson all there is to know about double-entry bookkeeping!
